Gazprom Swan 60 World Championships

The inaugural Gazprom Swan 60 World Championships will take place this year during the 2013 Gazprom Swan European Regatta in Cowes, UK. Taking place between the 13 – 19 July, the regatta is set to be as competitive as ever.

The Gazprom Swan European Regatta is a biennial yachting event hosted by Nautor’s Swan on the waters of the UK’s Solent. The European Swan fleet heads to the shores of Cowes, Isle of Wight every two years to experience close racing afloat and friendly nights ashore.

The Gazprom Swan European Regatta consists of long distance coastal racing, supporting an intimate set of entries where owners are focused on getting the most out of their south coast UK racing.

Over 30 prizes are due to be handed out daily as well as overall placing which will be presented at a number of different evening prize giving events. At the top of every Swan owner and race crew’s list will be claiming a Nautor’s Swan trophy as their own. The silver ware is not exclusively reserved for those at the top of the results board, with Nautor’s Swan also seeking out the Smartest Crew, Youngest Crew, Farthest Travelled Boat and Most Distinguished Swan, providing a wealth of opportunities for all levels of talent.

This year there are over 40 Swans entered, spanning seven nationalities.
