Alex Team racing Copa del Rey MAPFRE
Alex Team will be racing on-board Spirit of Europe this week
for Copa del Rey MAPFRE. Skipper Boris
Gusev and navigator Paolo Persi del Marmo will be heading up the entry from the
Royal Yacht Club, Moscow.
This team has raced together as a unit before and includes Sinergy team sailors. Having already taken a 2nd place at the 2014 Gazprom Swan 60 World Championship there are high expectations during racing in Palma Bay.
Their racing experience is mainly within Russia and also the Mediterranean which will be an asset to them this week. The main aim is to win this event on the 2015 Gazprom Swan 60 circuit and the crew will then follow up this year's programme with a series of competitions.
