Swan 60 SGM (GER) was raced by Team Germany during the Nord Stream Race 2012.

In 2013, SGM was crewed by the German Offshore Challenger team (GOC)- the crew were selected via a nationwide sailing project which aimed to introduce ambitious sailors to offshore sailing under the guidance of experienced regatta sailors and to establish a successful offshore crew.

The GOC crew onboard Swan 60 SGM raced in the Gazprom Swan 60 Class Circuit 2013, competing in the Delta Lloyd North Sea Regatta in Holland, the Gazprom Swan 60 World Championship in Cowes, UK, AAM Cowes Week, Cowes, UK and the Nord Stream Race 2013. They also took first place in the Swan 60 Class at the Rolex Fastnet Race.

The team have grown in confidence over the past year and gained more and more experience as the Circuit progressed, finally taking third place in the second edition of the Nord Stream Race 2013 which led to a second place overall in the Gazprom Swan 60 Class Circuit 2013.

The team finished fourth in the 2014 edition of the Nord Stream Race, Alexander Prinz zu Shleswig-Holstein, skipper of Team Germany commented, “Our crew is very young and consists almost entirely of amateurs who have never sailed together in this constellation before. Due to all those reasons we can be very happy with the result.” The team will now head to Porot Cervo to compete in the 2014 Rolex Swan Cup.
