Alex Team secured a 9^th place overall racing IRC at Copa del Rey MAPFRE last week. Taking a 5^th in one race the team showed determination in the Mediterranean conditions gracing Palma Bay with daily sun and moderate winds.

The team racing Spirit of Europe from the Royal Yacht Club Moscow had a wealth of experience aboard with Tim Kroger and Paolo Persi del Marmo as part of the crew. The Italian navigator, Paolo Persi del Marmo raced Copa del Rey on a Gazprom Swan 60 for a second consecutive year. He commented, “The crew is very good and we are happy, the boat is great”.

Paolo races extensively across Mini Maxi, IRC, ORC and TP52 classes, his experience assisted in a top 10 placing in the overall results.
